1st Meghalaya Farmers’ Parliament

All my energy, including my poetic energy, I am trying to make flow through my actions. The process is deeply humbling. All the energy that I wish I could give to words to share my journey, are currently used up to act. But the traveler remembers that words and action are part of the same thread, and does not get too restless. The traveler will write-act.

Following is a link to an article published in Down To Earth which reports of my observations after attending the historic, and, in India’s context, unprecedented 1st Meghalaya Farmers’ Parliament in Shillong, held on December 4-5, 2018. In the context of the current agrarian distress in India, this parliament felt like a breath of fresh air. I pray that this fresh air finds resonance.
